What Would I Do With Boudoir Photos?
Let's go back to that question of, "But what would I do with boudoir photos?"
Because you're skipping past the good part. We've been tricked into thinking that everything we do has to have some sort of "productive" reason. Like we have to justify all of our decisions off of what society thinks is a proper use of our time and money. Can't do that because it's not "practical".
Can we please challenge that? I think taking care of yourself is productive as f*ck. I think that loving yourself is super practical. I think "because you want to feel good" is a perfectly great reason...
But let's get back to what you're doing with the photos: The photos are the feeling, experience, the confidence preserved for you to revisit.
What you do with them, is you put them wherever YOU need the reminder.
Maybe you put them on the wall in your bathroom to start off every day. Maybe you keep them in an album in your bedroom for a private pick me up. Maybe they go all over your Instagram as a public declaration. It's whatever YOU need them to be.
Because they represent a moment in time where you LOVED YOURSELF. They capture forever the PROOF that you are confident, strong, sexy, bold, powerful, art. They bring back the way you felt when you took them, when you saw them for the first time.
Contemplate that and let me know if you think having the ability to hold space for yourself is "practical and productive" because I think it will allow you to tap into the highest power of yourself whenever you need it.
